I really enjoyed exploring the town around the university with you, Kazu: you’re a really fun person to be with! I’m sorry we couldn’t go rollerblading or anything like that, but I’m sure you have other friends that can do that with you.
I don’t mean that I don’t wish I could go rollerblading with you—I really would—but...My math class has to be the most challenging right now; most of my other classes come easily, but I’ve never been very good with math. Even in boarding school, I always seemed to be one of the girls that lagged behind. So, if any of you would be nice enough to help me with this math problem?
It takes 4 1/2 minutes for Elton John to listen to his favorite song on a record recorded at 45 r.p.m. (revolutions per minute). One day, Elton accidentally played this record at 33 1/3 r.p.m.'s. What was the number of revolutions required to play the song? What was the amount of time it took to play it at 33 1/3 r.p.m.? I wonder if anyone would actually do that here.
Oh, and Lenalee! I'll be on tonight—I want to go to the library today and return
the Inferno, maybe check out a new book. After that, I'll go home and go online. Is that okay for you? That way we can plan the picnic quickly.
